| Title: | Myrtle Coates and Dan O. Coates. Legend on rear of photo: “taken at about age of 10 yrs or 1920 at 603 W. Daggett Ft. Worth Texas. I still have the John B. Stetson hat I was wearing. Uncle John's first wife Aunt Millie gave the hat to me. It was her boyfriend's (he was a TX Ranger and killed in action). This hat had the famous button hole binding around the brim. The pistols were mine and they were real revolvers that were fixed not to shoot. The cartridge belts were real and had real shells in them. This pix taken on West side of grandma's house near the spot where she had her stroke. We were facing the driveway that went back to red alley”. Black and white. Copy |
